Help from our friends
Nora and I went down to Halland last weekend to see "Gösta Berlings Saga", Mike's final class production at Katineberg's Folkhögskola. We had a couple of hours over on Saturday and went over to visit with Bo and Ann-Mai Rahmberg at Kulla Ranch outside of Veddige. Everybody had a good time. Nora got to help feed a "bottle baby" whose mom had died of E.Coli mastitis a couple of weeks earlier. And I picked Bo's brain about corral design and cattle handling. We both came away with some interesting ideas to try back home at Örby. In the car on the way back Nora asked if we couldn't start feeding our calves with a nipple bottle just for fun. When asked why we would want to do that when our Angus moms did such a good job of feeding their own calves Nora replied that then she could get closer to the calves and pet them. Hmmm. Never thought of it that way.
