Here, I am behind Charlotte all the way. I worked on farms in both Småland and western Värmland and saw what it looks like when people stop farming their land and just let it go to heck. So many resources are being lost here in Sweden. and the longer you let it go the harder it is to get it back. This isn't Iowa or the Ukraine. Once upon a time somebody had to do a lot of backbreaking physical labor just to get going planting in these little stony fields. Not to mention all the centuries of maintenance just to keep it up. You'd think that the little arable land there is in this corner of the world would be held more precious considering all the work and pain that went into it but apparently not.
Aside from my agrarian ideology another motivation for me is that I really like to eat good meat! While you are producing all this open landscape for folks you can be producing really good lamb and beef. Mmm, Swedish lamb is one of the best kept culinary secrets. And you could be producing something really similar with real beef cattle, too.
